Description

The Domino Clamp is a two-part, heavy-duty steel clamp made from EN3B steel, designed to secure items to ISO-standardised holes in shipping containers. It consists of a front plate with M12 threaded holes for attaching accessories and a clamp plate that is locked in place with a central high-tensile bolt. This bolt, which can be tightened or loosened using a 10mm Allen key, ensures easy installation and removal.

Installation of Domino Clamp:
1. Preparation: Loosen the central bolt with a 10mm Allen key until the clamp is ready to be inserted into the container’s side holes (stadium-shaped holes on the long sides and shield-shaped holes on the short sides). Ensure the hole is free from debris or nests.
2. Mounting: Insert the clamp into the hole, ensuring it is firmly in place. Tighten the central bolt to 35-40Nm using either a torque wrench or manually.

Securing Items:
Once the clamp is installed, you can secure items to the Domino Clamp’s threaded holes. Use bolts of the correct length to avoid stressing the clamp or container corner. Note that the clamp is not designed to lift containers.

Removal and Maintenance of the Clamp:
To remove the clamp, simply loosen the central bolt until the clamp is released. To extend the life of the clamp, handle it carefully, keep it clean, and apply oil to the bolt if it becomes difficult to turn.
